Stephen Farnsworth Stephen J. Farnsworth is Professor of Political Science and International Affairs and Director of the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington. Dr. Farnsworth is the author or co-author of seven books on the presidency, the mass media and public opinion and is a 2017 recipient of the Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award.
