Republicans Face an Uphill Battle When it Comes to Challenging Tim Kaine (WVTF)


Stephen Farnsworth at the University of Mary Washington says Republicans are having a hard time attracting a candidate to run against Kaine, who is doing well in Virginia polls. Farnsworth says the GOP needs someone with greater name recognition and fundraising ability. “A lot of the Republicans are getting the message, the more experienced Republicans — people who have run previously in statewide elections — are not jumping at the chance to wage another statewide campaign.”
