Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Obama leaves office with America’s financial house in much better shape than it was eight years ago. The enthusiastic crowd that greeted the president in Chicago Tuesday night will probably not have much to cheer about in the next four years, he said.
