Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington in Virginia said that President Trump’s decision to pull US troops from Syria has created a huge win for Syria, which recovered part of its territory, for Turkey, which is pursuing the Kurds, and for Russia, which will step into the power vacuum that developed as a result of the US stepping back in the region.
