“The Trump team argued that the president did the right thing, but they did not release new information about what happened inside the White House before and during the riots – other than what was published,” said Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. “If Mr. Trump’s lawyers had valuable ‘insider’ information that could improve Mr. Trump’s image, they would have immediately announced it,” Mr. Farnsworth added.
