Stephen Farnsworth, professor of Political Science and director of the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington, said that Biden’s re-election bid has become “untenable.”
“Day after day, more and more Democrats were urging him to step aside. This drumbeat undermined his ability to stay in the race,” he said. “Biden’s status as a candidate was dividing the Democrats like few things have in recent years.”
