“What this hearing does is really trying to put all the pieces of the attack on the Capitol together,” said Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. “Now you are seeing the committee put out a comprehensive tale not only about January 6th, but also the runup to it.”
