Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington in Virginia said that President Trump’s latest round of executive orders speak to the Republican Party’s failure to reach agreement on a Covid-19 relief bill. The Democratic majority in the House passed a new bill to help Americans suffering from the economic and health care crisis months ago, Farnsworth said. Even Republican senators are questioning whether the president’s orders are legal or will be effective, Farnsworth said.
