“I do think that Virginia can look forward to a great deal more attention from the presidential candidates this year. This is a state that Biden won without much trouble four years ago. Now given the closeness of some of the surveys, it does suggest that both Democrats and Republicans will ignore this data at their peril,” said Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington.
