Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science and director of the University’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies, recently delivered an online lecture, “Public Opinion Surveys: What Journalists — and News Consumers — Need to Know,” to journalism students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Professor Farnsworth is a former daily newspaper journalist and the author or coauthor of several books on media and politics, including The Nightly News Nightmare: News Coverage of U.S. Presidential Elections.
