Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science and director of the University’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies, recently moderated a 1st Congressional District debate hosted at the University of Mary Washington, during which U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman, a Republican, and Democratic challenger Vangie Williams faced off for the first time.

The 1st District stretches from Prince William County to Williamsburg and includes the city of Fredericksburg.
