Stephen Farnsworth, a professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington, predicted that Tuesday will be a good day overall for Clinton and Trump. He said Trump’s ability to attract media coverage and Clinton’s extensive political organization will help in the multi-state competition.
Trump, he said, “is strong everywhere there’s a television.”
“Trump’s real skill is his ability to connect with the anger that you find in many Republicans today,” Farnsworth said. “He is the most effective channeler of anger and anxiety that I’ve seen in politics.”
