“There’s been more criticism of the company in the last week than there has been in any week I can think of,” University of Mary Washington political scientist Stephen Farnsworth said Monday.
But that may not lead to legislative changes, he said.
“No one describes paying an electric bill as a joy,” Farnsworth said. “(Even so), well-heeled interests may be vilified one day, that doesn’t mean they’re going to be treated badly in legislation that emerges at the end of the session.”
