Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington said:
“This was a breathtakingly unwise decision—based on what the public knows right now. We need to have that caveat in there. By all accounts, the director was highly professional and, at a minimum, did Donald Trump a major favour by not revealing the FBI investigation into possible campaign collusion with the Russians before the election.”
