“I think President Trump has spent much of his life saying what he wants to say and he’s not always tweeting in his own best interest,” said Stephen Farnsworth, director of the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington and author of Presidential Communication and Character: White House News Management from Clinton and Cable to Twitter and Trump. “These issues with the attorney general are a great example of how the president’s best interests would be better served by tweeting less.”
