Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington in Virginia said that Gov. Cuomo's political fate was sealed when the New York Attorney General produced such a devastating report about his misconduct. The fact that few other New York politicians suggested he stay in office made a resignation the only alternative to impeachment and conviction, Farnsworth said.
