Local Republicans may suffer from GOP’s health care push in 2018 (WTOP)

Any legislation that comes out of the Republican senate majority will be a more modest bill than the one the passed the House, particularly when it comes to provisions relating to Medicaid expansion and for people with pre-existing conditions, said Stephen Farnsworth, director at the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington.

He said, “A lot of house members took a tough vote for no good reason.”
