“There’s been clear impact in terms of the willingness of Democrats to run in the House of Delegates,” said University of Mary Washington political science professor Stephen Farnsworth. “Now that may not add to huge gains for the Democrats this year — many of these seats are gerrymandered so that Republicans have the advantage.”
