Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that around one dozen Republican senators will object to President Trump's declaration of an emergency over Congress' failure to fund his border wall project in the US Southwest. While that is not enough to overcome a presidential veto, majority opposition to the president in the House and Senate will weaken the president's standing in the courts, Farnsworth said.
