The Net Gain Of Felons Voting in VA Is Not Huge (WMAL radio)

Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that the governor’s voting rights restoration efforts for convicted felons are not likely to make a huge difference in statewide elections, but could matter in close contests in legislative districts.

“It’s important to remember that not all of those new voters will be Democrats and that many of those permitted to vote will not do so,” Farnsworth said.
