Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that Donald Trump’s presidential transition will be more difficult than most because he doesn’t have the network of political contacts that a senator or governor would have. To make matters worse for the president-elect, his first two appointments are very likely to clash, and soon, over whether Trump should govern as a traditional Republican or not, Farnsworth said.
