Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump’s phone call with the Mexican president showed that Trump cared more about his own public relations than about actually building a border wall, much less getting Mexico to pay for it. The release of these classified conversations suggests that the extraordinary chaos inside the White House is continuing under the president’s new chief of staff, Farnsworth said.
