Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump's interviews with Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward are very damaging. "A president's first duty is to protect the public," Farnsworth said.

Stephen Farnsworth Stephen J. Farnsworth is Professor Emeritus of Political Science and International Affairs at the University of Mary Washington. Dr. Farnsworth is the author or co-author of nine books on the presidency, the mass media, public opinion and journalism. He also has received the Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
