Dr. Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump’s suggestion over the past month that he may have had tape recordings of his meetings with the former FBI director and then saying that he didn’t undermine the president’s ability to have his remarks be taken seriously.
“It’s like he is the president who cried ‘wolf,'” Farnsworth said.
