"The moderate voters who decide the election are not nearly as angry as those who voted in the Republican primary," Farnsworth said. "In many ways, primaries are like football: 3 yards and a cloud of dust. General elections are like basketball: a much more wide-open, fast-moving game. Trump’s team seems to still be playing football, which doesn’t work on a basketball court."
