Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump’s changing stories about why he fired the FBI director — first it was because of the Hillary Clinton investigation last year and then it was because of the Russia investigation this year — are making a bad situation worse for the president.
“Donald Trump is really inconsistent,” Farnsworth said. “And the more inconsistency there is the more the investigation is going to ramp up.”
