Trump and the Future of US-Canada Trade (CJAD radio, Montreal)

Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump’s opposition to international trade agreements will probably have limited impact on trade between the US and Canada. Trump is far more concerned about the loss of US jobs to nations where wages are much lower and the temptation to move factories is that much greater, Farnsworth said.

“Trump has never said he wants to build a wall along the Great Lakes,” Farnsworth said.
