“What you saw was an energized Bill Howell in this campaign,” said University of Mary Washington political science professor Stephen Farnsworth…..“This has probably been the nastiest campaign in a decade in the Fredericksburg area.”
With decades of experience in politics, Howell’s “conservative track record is there,” Farnsworth said. Assertions by the Stimpson campaign that Howell is not sufficiently pro-gun or supports Medicaid expansion “just don’t stick,” he said.
