Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that the allegations of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign during 2016 continue to intensify, raising the stakes as the nation awaits public testimony from the FBI director fired by Trump for looking into the matter. Now presidential adviser and Trump son in law Jared Kushner is getting more scrutiny for his possible involvement in the matter.
James Comey, the fired FBI director, is scheduled to testify next week and is likely to increase concerns that the president may have tried to derail the investigation into possible wrong doing by Kushner and other associates, Farnsworth said.
