Professor Stephen Farnsworth of the University of Mary Washington said that President Trump's stand-off with North Korea's leader is unlikely to be resolved soon, since both leaders frequently employ threats to intimidate potential adversaries. Trump's effort to engage China is worth doing, Farnsworth said, though he doubted that China could convince North Korea to end its nuclear weapons program.
